Master Whisky Maker Bob Dalgarno draws the perfect quantity from 8 unique European & American oak casks to create an intriguing, multi-dimensional whisky that is light and soft and finishes rich and dark. Edition No.2 Bob Dalgarno teams up with The Roca Brothers who run a very successful restaurant named El Celler de Can Roca which is located in Girona, Spain, this restaurant has been awarded Number 1 restaurant in the world... Twice! Edition No.3 Once again Master Whisky Maker, Bob Dalgarno teams up again for the 3rd limited 'Edition', this time it's with Master perfumer, Roja Dove. Edition No.4 A combination of carefully selected sherry-seasoned oak casks brings out unique refreshing qualities and delivers an unforgettable whisky experience. Edition No.5 Celebrates the Macallan's spectrum of natural colour which has inspired the world-renowned Pantone Color Institue to create a unique and exquisitely complex shade of purple. The Macallan Edition No.6 takes its inspiration from the breathtaking landscapes around the distillery and warehouses, where each and every cask of The Macallan is matured.

    Founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, the Elchies Distillery as it was known initially, did not become the Macallan-Glenlivet in name until 1892. Since then, it has undergone massive expansion with Edrington and William Grant & Sons combining forces in 1999 to purchase Highland Distillers for £601 million. By then, the reputation of the distillery for its sherry-led style of whisky was already firmly in place. The new ownership model has enabled the distillery to produce new ranges, reach out to new demographics and establish itself as an international brand of quality. Bottles are Macallan are increasingly sought after for their commodity value and not the contents, which often are of high quality. Moving to a new distillery site in recent years, will in the long-term, allow Macallan to produce more and if needed, the old distillery sits idle despite being capable of producing 11 million litres before it closed in 2018.

    Selling Whisky should be a pleasurable experience not a complicated one! We've broken down the process into a few easy-to follow steps.

    The first step is to get your whisky to us. We can help with courier collections, or you can arrange transport yourself. Once at Just Whisky, we’ll handle photography and description of your lots and enter your whisky into our auction. We take payment, then pay you within 14 days of the auction end date.
