    Launched to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the Macallan distillery, the Time:Space Mastery edition was released in 2024. This single malt has been created to be a testiment to the expertise of whisky masters who have helped create Macallan's legacy. 14 different cask types, varying in cask seasoning, origin and size, have been blended together to create both complexity and depth within the aroma, texture and flavour of this malt The single malt is housed in a distinctive and unique circular vessel, which symbolises the infinite circle of life and the ongoing journey from past to future. The bottle is incased within an eye-catching display box, featuring Macallan's signature shade of red and 200 red spikes within. Each spike represents each year of whisky production at the distillery. A truly special bottle that commemorates 200 years of production at arguably Scotland's most celebrated distillery.

    Macallan

    Founded in 1824 by Alexander Reid, the Elchies Distillery as it was known initially, did not become the Macallan-Glenlivet in name until 1892. Since then, it has undergone massive expansion with Edrington and William Grant & Sons combining forces in 1999 to purchase Highland Distillers for £601 million. By then, the reputation of the distillery for its sherry-led style of whisky was already firmly in place. The new ownership model has enabled the distillery to produce new ranges, reach out to new demographics and establish itself as an international brand of quality. Bottles are Macallan are increasingly sought after for their commodity value and not the contents, which often are of high quality. Moving to a new distillery site in recent years, will in the long-term, allow Macallan to produce more and if needed, the old distillery sits idle despite being capable of producing 11 million litres before it closed in 2018.

    In the interest of fairness, any bids placed in the final five minutes of a particular lot will extend the end time of that Lot by 15 minutes. We believe in giving our customers a fair amount of time to increase their bid should they wish. Last second sniping isn’t in the spirit of our auctions and by using this system there is no benefit to doing so.
    Selling Whisky should be a pleasurable experience not a complicated one! We've broken down the process into a few easy-to follow steps.

    The first step is to get your whisky to us. We can help with courier collections, or you can arrange transport yourself. Once at Just Whisky, we’ll handle photography and description of your lots and enter your whisky into our auction. We take payment, then pay you within 14 days of the auction end date.
