Selling

Yes. We’re experts at providing estimated sales prices for your whisky. Complete our sales contact form on this page and you can upload pictures of your whisky. Please allow 2-3 business days for these prices.
Yes. Selling your cask shouldn't be complicated! We're here to make the process easy and efficient. We'll advise you on what your cask is likely to sell for. We'll handle any paperwork and ownership transfer and handle your sale completely anonymously. All cask sales benefit from 0% sellers commission, so you will receive the entire hammer price.
We do not accept Wine or Champagne. However other spirits ~40% are accepted. Examples being Rum, Brandy, Gin.
We charge a £7.50 entry fee per lot (+VAT for UK Seller's). You won't pay a penny in Seller's Commission on any item you sell
We host our specialist whisky auctions once every month.
Typically, our auctions run for 5 days. You can view our calendar with auction dates here.
Selling Whisky should be a pleasurable experience not a complicated one! We've broken down the process into a few easy-to follow steps.

The first step is to get your whisky to us. We can help with courier collections, or you can arrange transport yourself. Once at Just Whisky, we’ll handle photography and description of your lots and enter your whisky into our auction. We take payment, then pay you within 14 days of the auction end date.

The first step is to register an account (it takes 60 seconds) and complete our sellers form here.
The starting price of a lot is determined by the minimum alcohol pricing rule in Scotland. Typically for a 40% and 70cl bottle the start price is £14.00, and rising if the alcohol percentage of that bottle is higher or the bottle size is larger.
If you’d like to protect your bottle from selling for under a certain amount, we can place a reserve price on the Lot. This costs £7.50 (+VAT for UK Seller's) per reserve. We will advise if the Reserve Price is too high and will result in a non-sale. We hold the right to refuse to enter a Lot if the reserve price is deemed to be too high.
Yes. You can view all the items you’re selling from the account area Dashboard or Seller’s area.
Yes. You can reduce the reserve price on your bottle but not increase it. The new reserve price must be higher than the current bid price.
Yes. We regularly arrange courier collections from sellers all over the World. We can arrange a courier collection using our shipping partners, DHL and DPD. You&aposll be able to select this option during the sell process.

If you’re located more locally, we can also offer a personal collection service for more valuable collections.
Yes. Working hours are:

Typically, payments are made within 7 – 14 days of the auction end date.
Once the auction ends, you’ll receive the auction results by email and you can also view them in your account area. If you would like to re-list unsold items in the next auction you can do that. There is also the option to have any unsold items shipped back to you.
Yes. You can do that from the sellers area in the account section of the website.
No. We do not allow bidding on your own Lots and the function is disabled on your account. If we discover this activity, any of the bids will be withdrawn and your account is likely to be suspended. The same applies if we find any evidence of this from family members or friends.
